HP and WWF Have Now Protected and Restored More Than 600,000 Acres of Forest, With Viet Nam and Mexico Next

The partnership aims for another 400,000 acres by 2030 and includes a $1 million gift this year.

HP Inc. and the World Wildlife Fund have worked together on forest conservation across more than 600,000 acres since 2020, according to WWF, and the partnership is now expanding to new landscapes in Viet Nam and Mexico.

Where the work happens

The new projects build on existing work in:

  • Brazil's Atlantic Forest
  • Peru's Madre de Dios region
  • Australia's eastern forests
  • Key forest provinces in eastern and southern China

In Viet Nam, the work focuses on the Central Annamites, one of Southeast Asia's richest forest regions. The partners have set a goal of another 400,000 acres by 2030.

Together We Grow

Through its Together We Grow campaign, HP is contributing $1 million to WWF this year. The consumer side of the campaign offers free printable WWF educational materials for kids and sponsors a symbolic forest animal adoption.

Paper with a past

HP is also a participant in WWF's Forests Forward program and says it requires recycled or sustainably certified fiber for all HP-brand paper and paper-based packaging, with a preference for Forest Stewardship Council certification.
